WEEK ONE - CULTURE, RACE, ETHNICITY AND FOOD

Think about the many different and diverse groups of people that are present in the United States.  Consider with whom you have personally interacted and those with whom you have had little contact.  What are some of the "single stories" you have about others who are different from yous?  How did you arrive at your assumptions, impressions or stereotypes? What are the dangers of having a single story? What is the value of expanding your own experience to include a diversity of stories?
